Kindergarten students in Mrs. Wood's and Mrs. Standorf's classes listened to the funny story Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano. In this story, Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and Turkey knows it. He quickly puts himself in various disguises so Farmer Jake and his wife can't find him for Thanksgiving dinner.
After the story, students brainstormed other disguises Turkey could have used. Then, students created their own WANTED posters for their Thanksgiving turkeys, complete with rewards!

The following week, students used KidPix software to draw their own turkeys in KidPix. Students had to log in and then follow the directions to create their turkeys. They had to use the circle tool, the free draw tool, paint bucket tool, and the typing tool to create the drawings. They were great listeners!
